Partnerships

California Breathing collaborates with a variety organizations and collaboratives throughout the state and country to achieve its mission. California Breathing staff provide leadership and support to the following collaboratives and coalitions:


California Asthma Partners (CAP)

CAP is a self-directed, multidisciplinary team of high-level asthma leaders throughout the state guiding implementation of the Strategic Plan for Asthma in California  by coordinating state-wide efforts. Partners include representatives from fields of medicine, education, advocacy, research and policy.  CAP strives to reflect and represent the asthma interests, geography and diversity of California. School Environmental Health and Asthma Collaborative (SEHAC)

The mission of the California School Environmental Health & Asthma Collaborative is to ensure that schools provide an optimally healthful environment that maximizes teaching, working and learning for the entire school community.  The goal of the California School Environmental Health & Asthma Collaborative is to implement the State Strategic Plan for Asthma in California 2008-2012 using a coordinated school health approach.  Read more about SEHAC.


California Healthy Housing Coalition (CCHC)

California Breathing is proud to be a founding member of the California Health Housing Coalition (CHHC), a collaborative of diverse agencies, organizations and individuals providing leadership to improve the health of housing in California.  Read more about CHHC.
