These are some of the projects we have implemented recently or are currently involved in: Trainings for School Personnel Starlight Asthma Tool Kit For Schools (tool kit): This is a comprehensive asthma resource for schools. California Breathing collaborated with Starlight-Starbright Children’s Foundation on the development of the tool kit. In late Fall 2006, California Breathing hosted a series of "Train the Trainer" sessions around the state for school personnel on how to effectively use the tool kit. In the near future, you will be able to access individual handouts from the Tool Kit at this site. This issue details findings from the survey completed by 7th, 9th and 11th grade students. Recommendations and resources for schools creating asthma-friendly environments are included.
